My Roots.

I’m born and raised in Queens, NY as the child of Egyptian immigrants. I have a black belt in karate and a Masters degree from Harvard Kennedy School. I am a self-defense instructor, creative and grassroots organizer. My advocacy work focuses building safety for survivors of violence, addressing economic and racial inequity, and using storytelling and art for social change.
